Our founder, Mbangiso “Baso” Mabaso, was affectionately called “Malome” by his nieces and nephews. Over time, the name spread beyond family. Friends, neighbours, and the wider community began calling him “Malome” too. It became a symbol of trust, curiosity, and someone people could rely on for advice and inspiration. That spirit became the foundation of Supermalome.

An electrical engineer, self-taught software developer, game developer, and DJ, Baso has always been driven by one thing: a passion for building meaningful experiences. Whether creating digital products or discovering the perfect pair of headphones, he believes technology should inspire, empower, and bring joy.
