Inside Supermalome’s Experience at the Bloem Show Beach Party

What once seemed like a dream or simple idea became a reality for Supermalome. The brand had the privilege of attending the 2026 Bloem Show Beach Party, held at the Bloem Showgrounds in Bloemfontein, where it showcased some of its innovative products over a two-week period. The event took place from 23 April 2026 until 2 May 2026 and provided Supermalome with an opportunity that many entrepreneurs aspire to have the chance to exhibit their brand at one of South Africa’s largest exhibitions. The experience marked another important milestone in the company’s growth journey, proving that Supermalome is steadily moving closer to achieving its vision.

About the Bloem Show Beach Party

The Bloem Show, also known as Bloem Skou, is one of the oldest and largest annual exhibitions in South Africa. Hosted in Bloemfontein, the event combines agriculture, entertainment, trade exhibitions, technology, lifestyle experiences, food, and family recreation into one large-scale public exhibition. The 2026 edition adopted a “Beach Party” theme, creating a vibrant, youthful, and entertainment-driven atmosphere for attendees.

Beyond being a social and entertainment event, the Bloem Show also serves as an important economic and commercial platform where businesses, entrepreneurs, innovators, artists, and exhibitors showcase their products and services to thousands of visitors. The exhibition features various attractions and sections, including agricultural showcases, trade and business exhibitions, creative arts display, food and beverage stalls, and technology and gaming exhibitions,  the category under which Supermalome exhibited.

Sponsorship and Support

The event sponsorship by Nedbank Simplybiz played a significant role in supporting Supermalome participation at the exhibition. Simplybiz provided the company with an operational exhibition booth, marketing banners, media profiling opportunities, books, and power banks. In addition, the sponsor introduced a voucher system that allowed attendees to purchase products and experiences at the Supermalome stall using Simplybiz vouchers.

 Products Showcased by Supermalome

Supermalome attended the exhibition to showcase three of its innovative products namely; The Morabaraba 3D Game, the South African Fingerboard 3D Game and the Me N U Interactive T-Shirts.

The company entered the event with two primary objectives being to increase sales and game downloads and to raise brand awareness and introduce more people to the Supermalome brand and its offerings within the technology and gaming industry.

Key Lessons and Reflections

One of the major realizations Supermalome encountered during the exhibition was the importance of brand awareness and audience education. According to Supermalome’s CEO Mbangiso Mabaso, the event served as an eye-opener regarding the brand’s current market position and future direction in terms of audience segmentation and visibility within the technology industry.

Baso described the atmosphere of the exhibition as relaxed and family-oriented, with many attendees visiting the event alongside their children. This environment created opportunities for families to interact with the products in a more engaging and entertaining manner.

Another important observation included the audience’s diversity. Baso noted that the exhibition attracted people from different racial and cultural backgrounds, which highlighted the need for Supermalome to adjust and diversify its product communication strategies. He realized that some attendees did not immediately connect with or fully engage in the digital games because they did not understand the cultural roots and background behind the games.

This insight emphasized the importance of storytelling, audience education, and culturally adaptive communication when introducing African-inspired gaming concepts to broader audiences

Audience Reception and Highlights

One of the standout highlights of the exhibition was the audience’s reaction to the Me N U Interactive T-Shirts. According to Mr. Mabaso, attendees were amazed by the creativity, innovation, and technological brilliance behind the interactive clothing concept. The T-shirts became a major attraction at the stall and generated strong interest from visitors.

In Mr. Mabaso’s words, the interactive t-shirts became a true “WOW factor” for the audience, demonstrating the potential of combining fashion, technology, and interactive experiences in unique and engaging ways.

The Bloem Show Beach Party opened new doors and opportunities for Supermalome. Beyond sales and product exposure, the event provided valuable insights into audience behavior, brand positioning, communication strategies, and market reach. Most importantly, it reinforced the company’s vision of creating innovative African-inspired technological experiences that connect entertainment, culture, and creativity.

For Supermalome, the exhibition was not only a showcase of products, but also a learning experience that will contribute to the brand’s future growth and development within the technology and creative industries.
